This weekend was a rough one for a lot of us, 10 years after the tragedy that happened on September 11, 2001 the United States was a country in remembrance. It seemed only right that this week’s chart of the week reflect that emotion, so I searched for awhile this morning. When I came across this NYC Remembrance Sampler by Of Generations Past I paused for a moment and my heart said, “this one.”
There are two pieces here:
“Here rose the city from out of the bay, and one by one, her spires pierced the blue.”
and
“Remember 9-11-01″.
The large sampler model was stitched on 32 count Belfast Linen in Rue Green using DMC floss. Stitch count 150w x 105h. Small sampler model was stitched on 28 count Jubilee in Antique White using DMC floss. Stitch count 48w x 48h. (Get Fabric and Floss)

Happy Stitching,

P.S. Of Generations Past also has several other patriotic pieces charted, including Bits of History and The Declaration. Enjoy.
