Stitching Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Stitch Pink Bird from DMC

Last year DMC ran a program where stitchers pitched in stitched pieces for a quilt to be auctioned off later raising much needed money to help the battle against breast cancer.

It looks like this is going to become a tradition and they are adding to the selection of designs that can be stitched, starting with this beautiful piece of a pink bird that you see pictured here. Totally awesome! Find out more and get the design by clicking here.

I will be keeping an eye on the DMC Threads blog to stay up to date on the progress of this year’s Stitch Pink projects.

Happy Stitching!

About Loretta

I’ve been a cross stitcher since I was 8 years old. It was something I learned as a Girl Scout when we did a project for a badge related to crafts and the group choose to cross stitch a holiday design on a red sweatshirt using waste canvas. (Talk about hard first project, that was such a pain!) I was one of the first ones finished and I’ve had a needle in my hand almost every day since then.
