I Will Not Go Into a Stitching Slump!

It’s been awhile since I posted any progress photos on my stitching, because there just hasn’t been much progress. It’s been a hectic few weeks here in the Oliver household. Noah (my 12 year old) broke his collar bone, the school year finally ended, I had some dental surgery done, then Lucas (my 14 year old) had his last four baby teeth pulled because the permanent teeth came in and he had double teeth in his mouth, and then my husband aggravated his sciatic nerve last Monday – never a dull moment around here I tell you. I should buy lots of stock in Motrin the way the summer has started off!

I’ve put a few stitches in here and there and I purchased If Nothing Ever Changed (the chart of the week a few weeks ago). Ornament Club Pattern #5 at Stitching the Night AwayI managed to pick a fabric out of the stash cabinet to stitch that on once the chart and threads came in the mail. I consider that stitching progress, even if I haven’t made a stitch in the project yet 😉 I refuse to fall into a stitching slump no matter how hectic life gets this summer.

Today I finished up stitching Ornament #5 from the Ornament Club… I used a Silkweaver Solo mini that was in my fabric stash already and decided to go with a slightly darker version of the original colors from the chart.

Thank you for hanging out with me today. Happy Stitching!

  1. Hope everyone in your family stays healthy and well for a very long time.

  2. Thank you, Valerie ~ I should knock on wood or something that nothing has happened yet this week!

  3. Boy, you surely have had a rough two weeks! Fortunately you didn’t have anything hectic to happen to you since you had to take care of the rest of the family.
