Oh Look, There’s a Corner of Border

I am convinced that I have turned into the slowest stitcher on the planet. I used to be able to finish a medium sized project in two weeks or less, now it takes me forever to finish anything.

I am determined to create more stitching time for myself somehow. But, here’s a little bit of progress on the quote I’ve been stitching and you can see a corner of the border…

Thanks for hanging out with me and checking out my stitching progress. What are you working on right now?

Happy Stitching!

    I seem to be getting faster, so I’ve stolen some speed from you! I’ll try to send it back! Working on a custom order of Meooow.com from Kats By Kelly, Calico Crossroads, for a customer!

  2. I found the older I get the more responsibilities and demands on my time there are. Sometimes I am lucky if I can get a half hour of stitching done, seems like just when I settle in someone needs something. :o}

    • Exactly! It’s like a magic alarm goes off when I pick up my stitching that alerts the world to harass me for something/anything because I might be relaxed for five seconds if they don’t.

  3. OH and I forgot to add, I really like that corner design; can’t wait to see the rest of it.

  4. I know how you feel. Years ago (before many kids and kid activities) I stitched and completed projects all the time. That came to a screeching halt as the kids approached high school. Now that only two (of my six-yes I am crazy) are left in high school, I am beginning to have a little more time. I completed 8 projects last year and hope to complete at least that many this year. That may not sound like much, but with a full time job, six kids and volunteer responsibilities, it is a great accomplishment. Cut yourself some slack and enjoy the minutes you have. It will come around again.

  5. Don’t worry about it, I’ve been working on a single chart for over 7 years now and still don’t have it finished!

  6. I do agree. I think in the past we didn’t accumulate so many wips. Lol

  7. I’m working on L*K’s 3 Blox ornaments right now and looking forward to my children heading back to school this fall. I cannot get much, if any, stitching done while they are running in and out of the house and asking me for everything under the sun. Yay for autumn, cooler days and an empty house for a few hours! 🙂

  8. Oh my….I agree with you! I am so restless these days, I can hardly sit still to stitch. I’m praying its just peri-menopause! At 48, I blame every one of my problems on that!
