Merry Stitchmas! Day 1 of Christmas Cross Stitch

I can’t believe it’s December already and we’re counting down the days to Christmas. I know a lot of us are stitching away on holiday projects right now, and even more of us are planning next year’s holiday stitching. I love that it can be Christmas all year round with cross stitching and crafting projects. So, this morning I’m happy to announce our first annual 25 Days of Stitchmas!

Every day from now to Christmas we’ll take a look at two holiday stitching projects per day. At least one of those will be an ornament and the second will be either a stocking cross stitch pattern or a tree skirt cross stitch kit.

So, are you ready to stitchmas? I hope so! Let’s jump right in with today’s stitches….

Today’s stocking is Christmas Eve Stocking from Bent Creek.

It’s a fun rustic design of Santa and his reindeer on their traditional Christmas Eve trip that Bent Creek stitching fans are sure to love.

Model stitched over 2 threads on 18 Ct. Natural Linen with The Gentle Art Sampler threads (Gold Leaf) and Weeks Dye Works (Lancaster Red, Whitewash, Seaweed, Cocoa, Bark, Sand, and Onyx) The project completion also includes buttons from Just Another Button Company and of course your choice of backing fabrics and additional embellishments. Project Stitch Count is 96W x 145H.

Today’s ornament pattern is Christmas Box Ornaments by Country Garden Stitchery.

I couldn’t find a stitch count for the project, but it’s full of sparkly blending filament, a few beads, and lots of holiday swirls. These would make great gift swap ornaments!

That wraps it up for this first day of Stitchmas!

I hope you enjoyed today’s picks. I’ll see you all again tomorrow for more great holiday cross stitch projects.

Until then….

Happy Stitchmas!
Loretta
