Welcome back to 25 Days of Stitchmas here at Stitching the Night Away where we’re counting down the days to Christmas with awesome cross stitch projects. Every day from now to Christmas we’ll take a look at two holiday stitching projects per day.
This cute stocking from Bent Creek called My Favorite Things really caught my eye today. Who could resist the fun holiday things included here, snowflakes, holly, a Christmas tree, Santa, a snowman and a candy cane bring out the holiday joy.
The model was stitched over 2 threads on 18 Ct. Natural linen with Weeks Dye Works (Whitewash, Onyx-2, Lancaster Red-3, Rum Raisin, Sand, Chestnut, Seaweed, Schneckley, Juniper) and Gentle Art Sampler Threads (Shaker White, Nutmeg). Stitch Count: 97W x 146H. Buttons from Just Another Button Company sold separately.
But, I confess it was really the holiday candy that was on my mind! Check out these adorable Ribbon Candy Ornaments from Calico Crossroads!
Model stitched on 14ct. white perforated paper using kreinik floss and DMC floss. finished size (not including hanger): 1.5″ high x 1″ wide. They’d make great gifts and I can imagine they’re a ton of fun to stitch (and better for you than the actual candies! LOL)
Happy Stitchmas!
