Second Week of Stitching My Token of Love

This is my current focus project; Rosewood Manor’s My Token of Love

second round of stitching on my token of love

I’m stitching on 28 count evenweave from Silkweaver Expressions (this is an “old Silkweaver” and the color is no longer available but I think the closest match would be called Precious Metals) and I’m using DMC variegated thread (#115 garnet) instead of the usual sampler silks.

Here’s my progress from the first round of stitching;

So I didn’t get super far this past week, but I only stitched maybe a total of two hours on it.

Thanks for checking out my project and my stitching. I’d love to see what you’re working on as well, leave a comment below so I can check out your blog 😉

Happy stitching and have a fantastic weekend!

  1. Love the “Token of love.” Hope to do it myself one day. One small question. Is that a q snap frame you are using?

  2. Anne via STNA's Facebook Fan Page says:

    I actually got to stitching this week but left my work at home. Funny that. 🙂

  3. I must need more practicd with my Q snap frames. They simply dont hold the fabric tight and i am always pulling and readjusting. What IS the secret?

    Also have a general question. What do you do to get rid of those bend and broken or just old and worn out needles? I was thinking of the sharps container at the drug store.

    And, does everyone put their little scraps of thread in a jar? Then what?
