As you can see on the leaflet cover there I am not stitching this as charted, white is so boring! So, I grabbed the save the date card that came in the mail along with my fabric stash and I found the closest possible match to the color of purple that the bride used for the cards and invites. (I’m pretty sure the wedding colors and bridesmaids dresses will also be this color, but I’m not 100% positive.)
Anyhow, the closest match I came out with was Abracadabra from Silkweaver and it’s an opalescent fabric, so there’s pretty sparkles in there even if you can’t see them. I grabbed all the purple floss I could find in my floss box and 210 and 209 went great on the fabric and gave it that lacy monochromatic look, so I went with those!
As you can see here, I’m barely half way done and I’m just about out of DMC 210 floss, so I need to get some more of that. I also need to pull out my Mill Hill beads and see if I have anything that matches here, because there is a little bit of beading to accent the lace. I think I have some purple beads hiding in the bottom of my stash bin somewhere!
