I noticed this week that DMC is holding a Design and Easter Egg Cross Stitch contest on thier blog. So, of course I had to come up with something, right?
I put together a few rough drafts and posted them on the Facebook community page for feedback – and the feedback was good. Next step was to tweak the colors and pull some fabrics out of the stash cabinet and start nailing down decisions.
I finally chose two floss colors and pulled five different fabrics out of the cabinet, but I couldn’t decide which one I liked better, which lead to doing floss toss and snapping pictures to post here and on Facebook again….

I need to start stitching TODAY if I have any chance of getting the whole thing stitched in time to enter the contest before the deadline (March 31st) – eek! I honestly don’t know if I can stitch it up fast enough, but I’m going to try.
The good news is no matter what happens after the contest is over this pattern will be made available for you
