Cute! Day 16 of Christmas Cross Stitch!

Welcome back to 25 Days of Stitchmas here at Stitching the Night Away where we’re counting down the days to Christmas with awesome cross stitch projects. Every day from now to Christmas we’ll take a look at two holiday stitching projects per day.

How cute are these little critters? I love the use of the light blue color for the holidays instead of all the usual red and greens that we’re so used to seeing.

This Stack of Critters Stocking cross stitch kit from Dimensions (by Artist: Makiko) contains 14 count light blue Aida; felt; pre-sorted cotton thread & wool yarn; felt (for stocking back); needle and easy to follow instructions with an alphabet for personalization. Finished size is approximately 16 inches.

The best part about the stocking kits is that everything is included and you don’t have to worry about going shopping for matching fabric to create the back and cording threads and all of that, it’s all in the package. And at only $19.99 this one is really affordable too!

This Christmas Pals Ornament Set cross stitch kit is also from Dimensions and I think compliments the cuteness of the stocking quite nicely ;)

This kit contains 14 count Aida; felt; pre-sorted cotton thread; felt; needle and easy to follow instructions. Each finished ornament is 4.5 inches and the kit contains materials to make all six of the ones pictured.

Wizzers! Day 14 of Christmas Cross Stitch

Welcome back to 25 Days of Stitchmas here at Stitching the Night Away where we’re counting down the days to Christmas with awesome cross stitch projects. Every day from now to Christmas we’ll take a look at two holiday stitching projects per day.

The Snowman Wizzer I posted was so popular on Day 11 that I wanted to use today’s Stitchmas to show you a few more of these adorable guys. They’re a fun quick stitch and since it’s a kit it has everything you need to finish the ornament and hang it on the tree before the holiday season is over this year!

In addition to the Snowman with Tree that I posted in Day 11 of Stitchmas these three are my favorite Snowman Holiday Wizzer Cross Stitch Kits this year:

On the 13th Day of Stitchmas…. Christmas Cross Stitch

Welcome back to 25 Days of Stitchmas here at Stitching the Night Away where we’re counting down the days to Christmas with awesome cross stitch projects. Every day from now to Christmas we’ll take a look at two holiday stitching projects per day.

Let’s start with the ornaments today before I overwhelm you with the stocking project.

This set is Merry Heart Ornaments from Homespun Elegance Ltd. This leaflet is a first for Heart shaped ornaments with a combination of “Traditional” & “Country” flair.

The fabrics used are linens by Wichelt Imports – 28 Count “Antique Blue”, over-dyed “Thyme”, and “Amber”. and 26 Count “Natural Brown”. They are embellished using our “Christmas Star”, “Tiny Pineapple” , “Primitive Open Star”, and “Classic Crown” Brass brass charms.

This is Spirit Of Yule Stocking from Heaven And Earth Designs and I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It’s just stunning!

Jessica Galbreth is my favorite fantasy artist and every time I see her artwork converted to cross stitch I swoon.

Like most HAED designs it’s stitched over one thread on 25 count fabric using 90 different colors of DMC floss.

(Personally I might add a touch of blending filament in there for some well placed sparkle)

Stitch count of this project is 233W x 338H.

Snowflake Express! Day 12 of Christmas Cross Stitch

Welcome back to 25 Days of Stitchmas here at Stitching the Night Away where we’re counting down the days to Christmas with awesome cross stitch projects. Every day from now to Christmas we’ll take a look at two holiday stitching projects per day.

All aboard the Snowflake Express! We’re cheating a little again today, this leaflet includes both the stocking and the ornament pattern for today’s Stitchmas! Snowflake Express by Lizzie Kate was just too adorable to pass up and it makes a cute stocking or adorable pillow.

Stocking Model stitched on 20ct. Natural Northern Cross Linen using DMC #5 Perle Cotton floss. Stitch count: 93w x 139h. Approximate design size: 9″ x 14″.

Snowflake Express Pillow Model stitched on 32ct. Natural Linen/Silk using DMC floss. stitch count: 88w x 90h. Approximate design size: 5.5″ x 5.5″.

Now, I know you’re thinking that’s a really big ornament, but if you stitched it over one on 22 or even 28 count fabric I think it would make a lovely little addition to the tree. And if you’ve got a honking huge tree a 5×5 ornament might not be so bad either!

Happy Stitchmas!
