Be You Free Cross Stitch Pattern

I know, I’m totally going off schedule here. Usually on Tuesday I post updated stitching pictures of my current projects, but truth be told I didn’t really stitch very much and I didn’t want to bore you with the whole three rows I stitched on The Raven since it doesn’t look much different than it did last week.

So let’s mix things up a bit, shall we? I love free cross stitch patterns, you love free cross stitch patterns,… so here is a free cross stitch pattern I found while I was browsing Pinterest that I saved and I plan to stitch up as soon as I decide which fabric to I want to use….

Irish Blessing Sampler Chart of the Week

Irish Blessing Cross Stitch SamplerI’ve been on the hunt for some Irish themed cross stitch lately, or at the very least some shamrocks that I could stitch. My son is obsessed with the teeny tiny bit of Irish heritage he learned he has and he is in love with just about anything Irish right now.

I know I’ve seen this chart from The Sweetheart Tree before, but until recently I didn’t pay close attention to the sampler. The chart is titled Irish Blessing, and the saying that’s included is very sweet indeed,

May your blessing number the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

So this is on my list of things I want to stitch, but it hasn’t quite made it’s way into my shopping cart yet. I’d love to hear from anyone that has stitched it already [Read more...]

Cute Owl Cross Stitch Free Pattern

free owl cross stitch patternI came across this free owl cross stitch pattern when I was browsing on Pinterest (Yes, I am a Pinterest addict) and it’s absolutely adorable. The site is not in English, but it does say “Freebie” and you can download the pattern by clicking on it from the site.

=> This is the original source to get the owl pattern and offers two different color variations, one in the fun colors pictured here and one in neutral brown tones that are a bit more owl-realistic.

Happy Stitching!

Laurel’s Cross Stitch Snowflake

Stitched by Laurel

Laurel is a stitching machine lately! She sent in this finish of the fluffy snowflake pattern (This is pattern #2 in the 2012 Ornament Club here)

I love this fabric ~ just gorgeous! Laurel stitched her snowflake on 16 count Twilight by Picture This Plus using DMC Pearlesent Effects E5200.

Laurel also recently stitched the first pattern from the club, you can see that finish here. And she was also recently featured in the community section here.

Get to know Laurel a little better over at her blog “Cherished Creations” – everyone counts, where she frequently shows off her WIPs and finished stitching. [Read more...]
