January started off so well, I was stitching every day and I was enjoying it, things were running along smoothly. I had started a new medication over the holiday break and I was seeing some improvement. Then my health insurance said they wouldn’t cover it. We appealed the decision and got rejected yet again. So frustrating. I have to get some lab work done and start an immunosuppressant medication this week. So not fun. We were trying to avoid going that route, but ended up here anyway after a year of trying other things.
If you follow me on Instagram you may have noticed I stopped posting a daily stitch around the middle of January. That’s when I started to have flare ups again, and my hands were just not cooperating for stitching. They’re still not cooperating. Okay, enough of that, you don’t want to hear my medical woes. Let’s talk stitching!
Stitching progress was made on:
- Mill Hill Azul Calavera
- Linen and Threads 2017 Sampler SAL
- Connie Gee Designs 2018-2019 Backstitch SAL
- Neglected Threads SAL January Biscornu
I picked up the January Thread of the Month pack from Ship’s Manor
I bought 16 count Ice Blue aida for the Weavers Band Mystery SAL, plus a few skeins of DMC because I wasn’t sure what color I wanted to use.

It was a busy few weeks here at Stitching the Night Away…
That’s all of January in my stitching world. Thanks for having a peek. I hope your month was full of stitchy goodness as well. Happy stitching, friends 🙂
