This is part of Nora Corbett’s Stitching Fairy series, in particular this fairy represents Linen.
Model stitched on 32 Ct. French Lace Linen with Crescent Colours floss, Kreinik #4 braid, and Mill Hill beads.
I chose the Linen Fairy as our chart of the week to encourage you to try something new in your stitching. If you’re generally an aida stitcher, pick up a piece of linen or evenweave this week and give it a shot. Grab a copy of the free guide here on the site to help you get started and enjoy.
Or maybe you’ve never done a project that included beads added to it like this one does, there’s something new to try there as well. There’s also hand-dyed threads in this design, that might be something new for you. And metallic braids are included in this chart too, those can be fun to work with. Stitch outside the box and have a little fun trying something new this week – then come back here and tell me how it went! I’d love to hear from you 🙂
Happy Stitching!

I am just about done with the beads on the Christmas Fairy, it was not my first linen piece, but it was my first Nora Corbett. I was please at how easy it was to stitch a project that looks so intricate and complex, so I agree with Loretta, give it a try.
