The biggest problem I have when photographing my needlework is lighting. If I don’t use the flash, the photos always seem too dark. However, when I use the flash, the colors are off and everything is over-exposed.

I struggle with the whole flash vs no flash thing too (as probably shows in my blog photos LOL) I tried a filter but that didn’t work out too well. It does seem to help if I use the flash with the macro setting, but I’m still not always happy with the resulting photos.

I have never taken any pictures of my needlework, as I wasn’t sure what to do. I would love to get started, before I give anymore pieces away!

My problems are much the same as the other ladies – over-exposed with the flash unit and under-exposed if I don’t use it. I usually try and get the light just right early in the morning so I can get a picture without the flash. Sure would like to do this course.

I take the worst puctures. They are never squared.

    Hi Guys

One of my biggest problems when trying to photograph needlework is getting the correct colors to show. The purples always end up looking too blue or the oranges always seem to end up looking too red, etc. The same thing occurs with the color of the fabrics. The picture might look nice but the colors just aren’t right. I would love any suggestions you might have.

OMG I would love to learn how to make my things look better. Just imagine what you learn about fixing your stitching photo’s can be used on all your other photo’s. Please enter me in the contest. Thank you.
