This Ladybug Bookmark from Casey Buonaugurio Designs would make a great project for this years Stitching for Literacy, which starts April 6th (and that’s also my oldest son’s birthday! YAY)
I think this would also make a nice gift or even a great beginner stitching project if you’re helping someone get started and want them to be able to do a complete project without worrying about framing or fancy finishing techniques.
The chart model is stitched on a prefabricated Charles Craft Lace Ivory bookmark with DMC floss and the project stitch count is 113W x 24H.

When I charted this design I intentionally didn’t assign any colors to the stitching because I wanted to see all the beautiful variations that stitchers put into it. So far I have not been disappointed!
