My Own Thankful Stitching for Blog Hop

I wanted to write my own response to the thankful stitching blog prompt, because my hobby is something that I am extremely thankful for. The question I asked for Blog Hop #12 was…

When it comes to the stitching part of your life, what are you most thankful for?

I gave this question so much thought when I posted it and I could honestly go on for days about the things that I am thankful for in regards to my stitching. I may not get to stitch every day like I used to, but the days that I do stitch are often the best days of each week. Stitching relieves my stress, melts away the worries of raising a family for a few hours, and just brings my mind to peace. [Read more…]

blog hop banner

Welcome back to the Stitching Blog Hop! Blog Hop #11 is closed now, but you can stop by any time to read over the responses – and there were some very interesting posts on the topic of stash acquisition in that round. I love hearing stash stories like that 🙂

With Thanksgiving coming up in the United States this week I thought it was an appropriate topic of discussion…

The blogging prompt for hop #12 is:

When it comes to the stitching part of your life, what are you most thankful for?

Perhaps your stitching has given you a means to relieve stress after a long day at work. Maybe your stitching helped you quit a bad habit. Did shopping for stash help you find a group of friends when you moved to a new town? Tell us your thankful stitching story.

Live, Love, Laugh and Be Thankful Cross Stitch Kit

This week the chart of the week is actually a full cross stitch kit. If you’re working on expressing and recognizing gratitude this month like many are (myself included) then this may just be the perfect stitching project.

The Be Thankful counted cross stitch kit includes 14-count Fiddler’s Lite Aida cloth, presorted cotton floss, needle, chart and instructions. The finished project size 21 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ without frame. I think it might also make a nice table runner, since it’s so long, by adding a bit of fabric on the ends and maybe some quilt block style pieces and a border.
