March and April Stitchybox Goodies!

stitchybox unboxing of march april box halloween cross stitch supplies
The color inspiration for the March/April box was The Scream painting, and this is the Halloween box. Upon opening the package there were three packets filled with beautiful surprises waiting to be discovered inside.

The larger of the three was the fabric cut, I received a 28 count Jobelan (my favorite fabric YAY) in Twitlight Mist.

Loving this color.

The threads in this box…. oh, the threads.

March and April Stitchybox Goodies

Just look at them.

Silk! Look at all the pretty silk. It’s just a sampler waiting to happen. Deciding what sampler(s) is going to be very difficult.

  • Dinky Dyes Stitchybox exclusive colorway hand dyed silk Trick or Treat
  • Planet Earth Fiber hand painted silk Green Foliage V1305
  • Fiberlicious spun silk hand dyed fibers S048 Imperial Purple
  • The Pure Palette by Elements, Soy Luster Shadows, 100% Soysilk hand dyed thread in #297 After Midnight

Also, cotton threads from Weeks Dye Works in Kris’ Bon Bon and from The Gentle Art in a limited edition colorway (doesn’t seem to have a name).

One of the things I love about Stitchybox, I get to try new things, sometimes things in the box are from brands and companies I haven’t heard of yet. In this case Planet Earth Fibers, Fiberlicious, and The Pure Palette were all new to me, and I’m very glad to have met them and I’ll likely be writing more about them in the very near future after I have a chance to play with these pretty new threads.

The little embellishment pack included the Yellow Brick Road silk ribbon, also from Planet Earth Fiber, as well as the three packages of Toho Round glass beads in Raspberry-Lined Olivine, Purple-Lined Amethyst, and Bronze-Lined Aqua Rainbow. I’m thinking the beads need to go with the silks on a sampler stitching project.

One last look at everything all together.

Happy Stitching!
