Getting to Know the Stitching Community: Debbie Magiera

I want to take a little time each week to get to know the members of the stitching community as a whole, stitchers, designers, enthusiasts, we all love needlework and we all are passionate about what we do. Let’s share our passion and get to know each other a little better.

This week we’re getting to know Debbie Magiera, who you might already know from her blog, My Little Stitching Room

Are you ready for the stitching questions? Let’s get started.

What’s your favorite type of cross stitch project to work on?

I really like colorful ones!

Do you have a favorite designer?

Hard question! There are so many wonderful designs to choose from.

How big is your stitch stash?

Let’s just say my stash will out live me.

How long have you been stitching? How did you learn?

28 years of stitching, and self taught

Do you have any “in real life friends” to share your stitching with in person, or maybe a local stitch-n-bitch with a local stitch group? Tell us about so we can be jealous!

Yes, I work with two women who love to stitch. We stitch on our breaks and at lunch. We inspire each other!

What project finish are you most proud of?

Peaceful Lake House
finish 7/28/10

Bonus question: Add anything you’d like to share here about stitching!

Stitching is more than a hobby for me. It’s my passion. It comforts me, it relaxes me and it give me another reason to go shopping!
Without stitching my life would be empty.

Deb, thank you for sharing a little piece of yourself and your beautiful stitching with us today. We really appreciate it! All right , let’s get back to that weekend work in progress….

Happy Stitching,
Loretta
