Pattern Pick of the Day: Butterfly of Hope Quilt Blocks

Stamped cross stitch doesn’t often get my attention, but these stood out because of their special message <3 Janlynn Butterfly of Hope Quilt Blocks Stamped Cross Stitch, 15 by 15-Inch, 6 Per Package

This package contains six screen printed 18×18 inch broadcloth blocks, needle, graph and instructions.
Design size is 15×15 inches.

The page at Amazon for these blocks says “all supplies are included,” but to my knowledge this package does not contain floss. Of course, quilting fabrics and finishing materials are also separate.

If you want to complete a quilt here are the number of blocks Janlynn suggests you might need:

  • Lap: 2 rows of 3 blocks (one package)
  • Throw: 3 rows of 3 blocks (one and a half packages)
  • Twin: 5 rows of 6 blocks (5 packages)
  • Full/ Queen: 7 rows of 6 blocks (7 packages)

Brighter Tomorrows is Chart of the Week

brighter tomorrows breast cancer cross stitch patternI know it’s not October yet, but as far as I’m concerned every month should include Breast Cancer Awareness – and cancer awareness in general. That’s why I chose Brighter Tomorrows from Imaginating as cross stitch chart of the week today.

Hope – Strength – Faith Survivor

May each hour bring you hope,
May each day bring you strength,
May each week reveal brighter tomorrows.

And of course there’s the iconic pink ribbon in one corner and a butterfly in the other corner (to symbolize hope I believe?)
