This is an older project that folks ask me about pretty often. I recently made the Celtic Dream block available as a free cross stitch pattern and you can download that here.

I designed these four blocks as part of a Love Quilts project that a group of us here stitched together.

This design was created as part of a charity project several stitchers at Stitching the Night Away did collaboratively for Love Quilts along with a few other free Celtic cross stitch designs from around the web and a few other inspirational words that I charted out.

If you stitch this piece I would love to see your finished work. You can leave a comment here, send me an email, or share your photos on our Facebook community page!

If you’re not familiar with it, Love Quilts is a cross stitch group that creates cross stitched quilts for children with life threatening or lifelong illnesses.

You can follow the design as charted or you can choose your own colors, as Becka did in the stitched example for the Love Quilts project. Design stitch count is 120×122 and was sized to fit within the guidelines of a 9×9 block just right so that there wasn’t a lot of white space around the design.

Happy Stitching!
Kind Regards,
Loretta

We chose a theme and we all stitched at the same time and I sent our entire group of blocks in together so they could be finished into a quilt. This is the finished quilt with all of our group’s stitched quilt blocks…. We’re actually hoping to do this again this year!
