Not stitching, unfortunately. But we are having fun with the kids, so it’s all good. We have soccer games every Saturday morning, and since two of our boys are playing (Lucas and Noah) we usually end up at the soccer fields early in the morning and stay past lunchtime.
Winter Days Free Cross Stitch Pattern
Lately the weather seems a bit moody around the United States. It’s supposed to be Spring, but a lot of us are still seeing Winter weather and cold temperatures. I finally saw some sunshine yesterday and today looks pretty good… it might turn out to be a really sunny week here in my part of […]
Disappearing TARDIS is Chart of the Week
Raise your hand if you watched Dr. Who this weekend. I’m betting that you were too distracted with anticipation to get any stitching done during the show. Right? Here’s the perfect project to stitch when you replay the episode on your DVR for the second or third time… vworp vworp vworp vworp vworp vworp ==> […]
Brushstroke Butterfly Stitched by Gavin
This very special butterfly was stitched by 9-year-old Gavin as a square for a World of Charity Stitching quilt project. Gavin has been stitching since he was 7 and I’d say he did a very lovely job of it, plus he has great color choices! This butterfly is a free cross stitch pattern available right […]
Balloon Glow is Chart of the Week
This morning while I was getting the kids off to school I caught part of a news snippet as I rushed through the living room; something about FAA regulations that say hot air balloons can’t be within 500 feet of a cloud. I walked around with these silly visions in my head of men teetering […]
Green Retro Love Stitched by Vicki
Vicki is working up an interesting wall hanging idea with the Retro Love and Retro Peace patterns. She shared this green variegated version of Retro Love on the Facebook page recently and mentioned that there will be some sewing and creativity happening, and she also shared a photo of this pattern stitched in red, so […]
Love Coffee from Mill Hill is Chart of the Week
Mill Hill’s newest cross stitch kits have been super cute. I know I said that about their last round of releases, and the round before that, but they have really been rocking things in the department of cute and easy to finish projects. When I saw Love Coffee, I sort of instantly fell in love […]
Stitching Bloggers #17: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes
Welcome back to the Stitching Bloggers blog hop! I’m running a day late with this one, because for some reason I thought Friday was the 14th and Saturday was the 15th. The calendar inside my mind is a messy, messy place sometimes. I think my internal clock is still out of whack from Daylight Savings […]
January Snowflake Stitched by Laurel
Another amazing snowflake finish landed in my inbox. Laurel stitched her fluffy January flake on 16ct “Aurora” by Picture This Plus – and what a gorgeous fabric color choice it is! (making a note to order some fabrics from PTP very soon…) This was our January pattern for the 2013 Ornament Club, if you weren’t […]
February Merry & Bright Stitched by TJB
Nothing like challenging yourself a little bit. This is Merry & Bright (February’s Ornament Club Pattern) as stitched by Tommye J Bunce of TJB Designs on 26 count white evenweave over one with one strand of floss. Over one! with one strand of floss! It’s a great finish 🙂 ==> Pattern is available for purchase […]
