May was a complicated month out there in the real life world. My husband (Brian) had gallbladder removal surgery. Someone shot our van window out with what I assume was an Airsoft or BB gun while we were going down the road near our house. Lucas turned 20-years-old 😮 We’re getting ready for graduation coming up in a few weeks, Noah graduates this year and then next year only Ethan will be high school. In February all of my kids will be adults ~ I suddenly feel a little old.
Surprisingly, I managed to get a little bit of stitching done here and there throughout the month, even with weird weather and humidity making my knuckles angry.
Stitching progress:
Linen & Threads 2017 Band Sampler: (blog post)
I finished stitching Part 1 of the 2017 Linen & Threads Band Sampler
Connie Gee Designs 2018-2019 Backstitch SAL: (blog post)
I finished the third block of the Connie Gee Designs Stitch-a-Long that’s going on for 2018 and 2019 – there will be 25 blocks total for this one.
Blackwork Bookmark:
I know this looks like an empty rectangle, but it’s actually the outline for one of my Blackwork Bookmark models. I’m not sure that I like this fabric, though, so I might start over. Patterns are available in the new Pattern Shop
Stash acquired:
I picked up the May Thread of the Month pack from Ship’s Manor plus a Little Orphan Fabric and some of the cool new Bamboo Thread, which I can’t wait to try out 🙂
Designing and Such:
I released the Death Before Decaf free cross stitch pattern as well. You can pick that up at https://www.stitchingthenightaway.com/9487/death-before-decaf-pattern/
