I’m stitching on 28 count evenweave from Silkweaver Expressions (this is an “old Silkweaver” and the color is no longer available but I think the closest match would be called Precious Metals) and I’m using DMC variegated thread (#115 garnet) instead of the usual sampler silks.
I still haven’t decided what to put in the circle that you can customize in the upper wreath section. I wanted to do something different than the usual anniversary date, but nothing is really springing to mind. I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas, please drop me a comment below.

This first little bit took me about an hour and a half to get done. I always have this strange self-doubt in my ability to count when I’m placing the first handful of stitches into a new start. Also, I’m really liking having a needle minder, I’ve only been using one for the past month or so but they’re pretty handy to have.
(I picked my needle minder up at the Ship’s Manor Etsy shop ~ Erik makes some pretty awesome stuff)

My January 2013 stash acquisition to kick of the new year with was the chart and supplies to stitch My Token of Love by Rosewood Manor, along with a few extra packs of my favorite John James Needles because you can never have enough extra needles.
Over the past year I’ve been eyeing several of Rosewood Manor’s patterns and they’re quickly becoming a favorite for me. If you’ve been following my window shopping adventures here on the blog you’ve probably seen them pop up a few times.
Have a fantastic day and happy stitching!
I love Rosewood Manor designs too.
I love Rosewood Manor designs
I have a couple going now
I love that red color
I love this one and you gave a great start! I’m still trying to decide what floss to use for mine.
That sampler is beautiful. I always worry about my counting when I start a design too. I hadn’t heard of needle minders before (although I was aware of the concept, I always just used the magnetic strip I use to track which row I’m on). Now I have to go buy myself a new pretty.
Ive started spring quaker of rosewood manor. Her graphs are so easy to stitch from and her book has mini bonuses…
My spring Quaker is a bit over half done. Using valdani threads I got a bit bored with it for a few weeks and today it is back in front of me. Love her things.
I am liking the look of the design! I have never heard of Rosewood Manor until today, on your blog. Might be something I need to look into.
I think everyone has that distrust in their ability to count when they start a new design. For me, it is because I am getting used to a new chart, and new fabric. I am eager to watch the design grow, and hear how you enjoy it. I like the simplicity of the design. Happy stitching!
I love the look of the Rosewood Manor designs. Your new work is looking very nice. I am trying to decipher what count fabric you are working on. My vision is not that great anymore so I never work on linen and rarely work on anything less than 14, although I can handle 18 if I must.
I’m stitching it on a 28 count evenweave. I know it’s from Silkweaver, but I can’t remember what the color is called off the top of my head, I’ll double-check and include that in my next update 😉
