This WIP has been sitting in the stash cabinet for awhile. It always seems to get set aside for other projects, though I really do enjoy working on it. After I finished stitching The Raven I wanted to put something on the no baste scroll bars to test out with my E-Z Stitch lapstand from American Dream Products. The no baste system uses strips of velcro to attach your stitching to the bars, very inventive indeed. It only took me a few minutes to get my project attached to the scroll bars and I spent a few minutes fidgeting with the tension to get it where I wanted it to be. [Read more…]
I really wanted to get The Raven done this past week, but things don’t always go as planned. I am really close though! The words are done, the Raven is done, the little “fence” type part is done. All that is left to stitch is one more star and the border!
I’m actually considering leaving the border off and opting for some sort of fancy matting when I have it framed.

I made some progress stitching The Raven (by Lad D Da) this week ~ YAY!
I’m finally onto stitching the raven himself, after that there’s one more star and a quick border to stitch. I see this being all finished up very soon.

Not much stitching over the past week. Everyone seems to be getting some sort of flu bug -again- and that has me a bit distracted. I did get a little further on The Raven by La D Da…
This is my first finish of the year ~ YAY! A fluffy white snowflake ornament stitched on a 28 count Cashel Linen solo fabric from Silkweaver that my son picked out of the stash cabinet.
The fabric color makes me think of a winter sky at dusk when there’s lots of fluffy snow on the ground and a snowman in the yard. [Read more…]
